The Fee Protection Scheme (FPS) serves to protect students’ fees in the event that a PEI is unable to continue operating due to insolvency, and/or regulatory closure. The FPS also protects students if the PEI fails to pay penalties or return fees to the students arising from judgement made against it by the Singapore courts.
The FPS is compulsory for all EduTrust-certified PEIs fully protect all fees paid by students. “All fees” refers to all payment made by students in order to study in PEIs, excluding enrollment fee, agent commission (if applicable), miscellaneous fees (non-compulsory and non-standardized fees and applicable where necessary only), and GST.
Under the Fee Protection Scheme, Singapore College of Traditional Chinese Medicine has put in place an insurance arrangement that ensures fees paid by students to the school are insured by Liberty Insurance Pte Ltd, a CPE-appointed service provider which the FPS insurance premium fee is beared by Singapore College of Traditional Chinese Medicine.
We have assigned Liberty Insurance Pte Ltd to purchase FPS group insurance for students.
