DOCTOR OF MEDICINE(TRADITIONAL CHINESE MEDICINE)(CHINESE)- JOINTLY CONDUCTED WITH NANJING UNIVERSITY OF CHINESE MEDICINE
The Doctor of Medicine (Traditional Chinese Medicine) (Chinese) is jointly conducted by the Singapore College of TCM and Nanjing University of Chinese Medicine to cultivate professional and innovative TCM professionals with strong theoretical foundations and practical skills to further promote the development of Traditional Chinese Medicine. To grasp the basic theories and professional knowledge of TCM with a more systematic approach; To possess the ability to carry out independent scientific research on TCM; To focus on the systematic mastering of TCM basic theories as well as diagnostic and treatment methods of TCM, and to possess the ability to carry out independent TCM clinical research studies and clinical treatments.

(1) The student will be eligible for graduation upon meeting the requirements of all aspects of this Coursework programme and upon passing the thesis defense, within the specified maximum study time. Graduation shall be approved only after review by the College and the graduate school.
(2) The student must obtain graduation qualifications and meet the relevant regulations of the "Degree Conferment Conditions" in the "Details for the Conferment of Doctoral and Master's Degrees of Nanjing University of Chinese Medicine". Degrees of corresponding levels will only be awarded after review by the Degree Evaluation Subcommittees and the Degree Evaluation Committee.

Through intensive study of the Emperor's Canon of Medicine (Huangdi Neijing), graduate students can further systematically master the basic theories and fundamental knowledge of TCM, become more familiar with the academic thoughts, academic characteristics and modes of thinking behind the theoretical system of Huangdi Neijing; master the research methods of the Neijing and cultivate the ability to study classical medical literature so as to lay a solid foundation for their future research and clinical work in TCM. |

The teaching of this module should enable graduate students to master the theoretical system of seasonal febrile diseases and the diagnosis and treatment skills of common febrile diseases using the "Defense, Qi, Nutrient and Blood Syndrome Differentiation" and "Triple Energizer Syndrome Differentiation" as its core; train students to focus on the holistic approach towards symptoms and disease while prioritizing the syndrome in the treatment of seasonal febrile diseases, reveal the nature of seasonal febrile diseases, and study syndrome differentiation and treatment methods for various clinical febrile diseases. |
